December is a month full of connection, celebration, and reflection. This month, our counseling focus is EMPATHY—understanding how others feel, showing kindness through our actions, and building a caring school community. Thank you for partnering with us to support your child’s social and emotional growth!

Throughout December, students will learn:

What empathy is and why it matters

How to “put themselves in someone else’s shoes”

How words and actions impact others

How to support friends who are sad, frustrated, or left out

How empathy helps us create a positive school environment

Try this at home:
Ask your child, “How do you think that person felt?” when reading stories, watching movies, or talking about real-life situations.
